Trees and biodiversity

Forests host a strong biodiversity.

Natural forests and tree plantations provide shelters and breeding sites for many animal species like some birds, snakes, insects, might they be abundant or severely threatened like great apes. Trees do also support or are a haven for other plants, some of the latter very scares or fragile like some orchids.
